That is a subject up for some debate in the Austen world, is it not?

Have any of you Janeites ever wondered just why it was that Mr. Darcy, often described as an excellent man, was so fond of such a man as me? That perhaps he had a reason for forgiving me my many youthful transgressions?

Maybe the excellent Mr. Darcy always felt that he had some sort of obligation to a George Wickham, only son of his very loyal steward. A steward who would do anything for his master.

So, to answer you honestly, Miss Grey, I may have a brother. I honestly do not know.
